In India, the Tata Tigor Styleback will face challenge from cars like Maruti Swift Dzire and Honda Amaze.
The car will come with a 1.2L Revotron Petrol & 1.05L Revotorq Diesel Engine Options with a 5-Speed Manual gearbox. The Compact sedan is 246 mm longer,30mm wider and 2mm taller than the sibling hatchback i.e. Tiago. The company has also raised the Wheelbase by upto 50mm which should contribute to the spacious cabin.
The Tata Tigor, much awaited sub-compact sedan from the homegrown company is all set to hit the Tata showroom's on 29th of March. Touted as India's first" Styleback", will face direct challenge from Maruti Swift Dezire,Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire.While the launch is on 29th march, the company is conducting media drive in Delhi, During the event the Company has reveled the engine specifications and features of the vehicle.

The petrol unit will be a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Revotron engine chruning out 83.8bhp of power and 114Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel version will have a 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder unit that makes 69bhp of power and 140Nm of torque.

On the outside, Tigor features blacked out headlamps with projector lights, ORVM integrated LED turn indicators, fog lamps, tapering roof-lines, Zest inspired front grille, bumper and rising window line and LED tail lamps. While the petrol models ride on 15-inch alloy wheels, the diesel version gets 14-inch wheels.
Inside the cabin, Tigor comes packed with Harman sourced touchscreen infotainment system with 8 speakers and USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity, steering mounted audio controls, Android smartphone-based navigation, twin pod instrument cluster, electric multifunctional power steering, automatic climate control height adjuster for driver’s seat, remote tailgate opening, reverse camera and many more.
For the safety provision, Tata equips the car with arm dual front airbags, anti-lock-braking system (ABS) with electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), reverse parking camera, speed sensing door locks, 3-point seatbelt and central lock. Braking duties on the sedan will be taken care of front disc and rear drum brakes.
